A little bit about me
Hi, I'm URVASHI SATHAYE – Founder and Principal Interior Designer at M.A.D.E
Our spaces define us. They are also an extension of our personality. Our spaces need to work for us, intuitively and functionally. They also need to look beautiful and comfortable. This is where great design comes in and what I truly enjoy is DESIGNING SPACES FOR YOU. Spaces that make you HAPPY. Spaces that are EASY yet PRACTICAL and won’t burn holes, in your furniture or your pocket.
I first studied interior design in Mumbai and then worked with local firms to zealously apply all that I had learned. But that wasn’t enough. I needed to go to the heart of it all and so I made my way to Florence, Italy where I did my Master’s in Interior Design. Meeting and interacting with design professionals from different countries and cultures was a great experience. It also gave me valuable insights, on multiple approaches to the same problem and thus unlimited possibilities and solutions.
Fast forward back to Mumbai, to one of India’s leading interior design firms, Neterwala and Aibara. Here, I learned from the best in the business about great design, the beauty of perfect execution, and that GOD is truly in the DETAILS.
I was now armed with invaluable work experience and that is what drove me to strike out on my own and led to the BIRTH of M.A.D.E in 2014. I believe there are no FIXED rules and no LIMITS to a VISION. Anything is possible. And we are here to help you achieve your vision. YOUR VISION of a beautiful home, a trendy office, a funky café or any other space.
So, what is M.A.D.E?
M.A.D.E is for that tired 2 bedroom house which needs a breath of fresh air and wants to feel CHEERFUL and COSY. M.A.D.E is for that boring office space which could use a splash of colour and look more EDGY and BOLD. M.A.D.E is for that thakela café which wants to look INDUSTRIAL and FUNKY. M.A.D.E is for YOU.
